The inaugural TIPF has partnered with the Fubon Cultural & Educational Foundation to launch the “TIPF Co-learning Docent Volunteer Program.” This initiative invites photography enthusiasts aged 18-22 to engage in a co-learning approach and put their knowledge into practice through guided tours. A series of capacity-building workshops equips these young participants to delve into the exhibition content, learn how to interpret images, translate knowledge, and develop their own unique perspectives on the works.
The Fubon Cultural & Educational Foundation has long been committed to empowering youth through its YoungVoice Academy, encouraging self-expression through photography and writing. Through this collaboration, young participants are encouraged to focus on specific issues and articulate their viewpoints through the writing and delivery of guided tour scripts. In doing so, the festival becomes not only a space for viewing images, but also a shared learning environment that fosters understanding, dialogue, and personal growth.
Fubon Cultural & Educational Foundation
Established in 1990, the Fubon Cultural & Educational Foundation has, in recent years, focused on youth empowerment through education. Through initiatives such as the YoungVoice Academy and the YoungVoice Film School, we create accessible pathways for adolescents to engage with media literacy and creative expression. These programs aim to strengthen young people’s sense of identity, foster independent and critical thinking, build aesthetic literacy, and expand their civic imagination.
Through sustained and meaningful engagement with youth, the Foundation encourages teenagers to undertake an inward exploration of identity and purpose, while developing a critical awareness of the world around them. By fostering autonomy and expressive agency, these programs enable young individuals to articulate their own perspectives and advocate for the issues they care deeply about—asserting their voices without reliance on adult intermediaries.
