Chang-Ching Su

Chang-Ching Su was born in Taiwan and now lives in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He earned his MFA in Photography and Video Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His works explore the subtle dynamics of power and authority in contemporary sociopolitical systems, expressing his imagination of freedom through photography and writing. His art practice is mainly based on Marcel Duchamp’s concept of infrathin, which he uses to explore and interpret Taiwan’s identity from his personal understanding. The artist examines the political, social, and existential predicament he perceives by reconstructing the relationships of everyday objects.
